ENGINEERED FLOORING
Engineered wood is made from a real wood base and designed to provide greater stability, especially in areas where moisture or heat would be a problem for hardwood flooring. The top layer is made of the same hardwood found in raw wood flooring. An engineered-wood veneer, made of natural wood, gives the appearance of hardwood flooring. Plancher Sélect offers engineered wood flooring in several wood species. Quality wood veneer can withstand many years of wear and tear, and can even be sanded. The properties of engineered flooring make it the best choice for installing near heating sources, on concrete or in damp environments. Engineered flooring solves hardwood’s instability problems with multi-layer boards that counteract twisting and remain flat and intact.
